Title: small portable as IEM mix
Post by: Kevin T on April 12, 2009, 09:56:51 AM
Any Thoughts on Using internals (  Zoom, Tascam etc)via Mon headphone out as an IEM stereo ambient source. I want to try it ( somewhere)on stage Mixed/ along with individual mono vox (" more me") feeds to 4 wired in ear feeds. All my on stage recordings are great for abient / "binaural" feel and this may provide a solution to sterile /audience isolated IEM mix on the cheap!

I think you might get better setup with just a pair of cheap condensor mics on each side of the stage, then running into the IEM mix. You could put each of them on each side of the stage for good stereo seperation, and you have MUCH better control over levels running the mics into the soundboard.
