Mic Suggestions for Collecting Sounds, In/Out, Studio, FX, etc...

Mono or stereo is fine, but i'd rather have one good quality mic.

I want something I can use in indoor environments accompanied by a nice pre,
but then also can be brought outdoors and plugged straight into a HD-P2.

Looking to record various close up sounds like kitchen stuff, car noises, fun stuff all around.

416 the best for all this?

AT8022, AT825, BP4025 all good. I use a Rode NT4 for kitchen stuff :)
