I've heard that some of those ipod replacement batteries are sketchy...anyone know where to find something solid for a good price?
I have an iriver 140 that seems to be in need of a new battery (works fine on ac power, all f**ked to hell on battery).
And while I'm here, can someone tell me if I can load the same 140 version of rockbox (with REP) on my 340?
Thanks!!

Search on ebay for iriver batteries, and see if 'Sino' or 'CameronSino' is mentioned somewhere (even if only on the picture).

Looks like it might say "CameronSino" on the bottom, but hard to tell for sure...

It looks like these are only available from dealers in Hong Kong and Canada, weird...
Anyway, thanks for the tip. I'll see if I can get this thing back in commission.

yes, that looks like a good one... I normally get them from HK since shipping is cheaper for me (to Belgium), but that of course depends on where you live ;)

Are these the ones that are wired properly? Meaning, I don't have to flip the wires? I purchased two batteries from a seller on ebay who has gone MIA (dating back 2+ weeks). >:(

if they are sold as iriver batteries, you do not need to swap wires
(but checking the wires before connecting the battery never hurts!!!)

How do I check the wires?
-
if you hold the connectors of old and new battery next to each other, the red and black wires should be in the same position

Got it, thanks!
