like a UA-5...sort of.
http://www.esi-pro.com/viewProduct.php?pid=16&page=1
retails for $300 I think. same price point. 24/192 operation. I read someplace (audiomidi.com) that it has 2x s/pdif I/O. Interesting.

more info:
- firewire or external power
- dual mic pres w/phantom
- headphone jack w/gain
- analog i/o
- s/pdif i/o (x2..I think. so said audiomidi.com)
looks very small. neat!

" QuataFire 610 provides 6-in/10-out in a gorgeous *1/3 rack unit* "
Gorgeous ? !!! Who writes this stuff ?
And 1/3 RU is same as a UA-5, no ?
The real question is how does it sound ?
Second, does it need a digi-Mod like the Edirol UA-5 to go stand alone ?

Read the thread Scott linked to above. ;) The sales rep seems to think so but who knows? The M-Audio Firewire 410 that John Kelly uses (I think that's what it's called) is the same deal - no standalone...

ok heres my question- who is putting this stuff in a rack? do they even make a rack setup for this? come on.
