Title: How to edit 5.1 ac3 stream without re-encoding it
Post by: FotherMucker99 on April 30, 2009, 06:38:30 AM
Particularly looking to cut the audio at a certain point!

What is most important: it has to be an accurate conversion, no re-encoding...

Which program will do it best?

No problem if it is not freeware...

I am not familiar with audio only cutters.  If it is muxed with MPEG video you could cut it with any number of video cutters like VideoReDo Plus and then demux the aud/vid.  It will cut video frame accurate and not reencode.

You know, Video ReDo Plus does.  I cut Transport Streams with 5.1 AC3 Audio all the time, no re-encoding.
