Title: vol drop in one channel, causes?
Post by: ilduclo on May 05, 2009, 04:42:42 PM
Hey, I noted a volume drop on my left channel

dpa 4061's (1/8" mini plug) >spsb3>d100.... Does not appear to be the "normal kind" of glitch that I associated with bad connections, but was hoping someone could make a suggestion. Crowd was close and might have been a partial disconnection, but I always thought that had a different wav pattern....

couple second mp3 attached

thanks!

I actually had the opposite of this happen my last time out.
Both channels raised in gain by about 4db.
Now my gear was across the room and I was drunk as fuck so I have no idea if
it was some of the locals thinking they could turn the band up
or some sort of actual malfunction.

sounds like the mini plug came out just enough to cause that, but not out far enough to lose the hole channel.  test it at home, give it a little pull to see what i mean.  ed

thanks, I appreciate the input, I couldn't get it to do it by just wiggling wires, but it did do it when I pulled the plug out a bit. Nice to think, as I was worried one of the mics was fucked.
