I've seen DTS recordings that were in WAV and burned like normal recordings but they had to be played in a DTS system.  If you play them in stereo it's just static.  Can you burn *.dts files like WAV?

I found this page which has some useful info...

edit:
No experience with this, but I will take a shot at it...

I would rename the files as .wav and import them into your cd burning software. Burn them as is with no processing whatsoever, fades etc. Connect the digital out of the cd player to the digital input of a receiver. The receiver must be capable of decoding DTS.

CD's only work with 44.1kHz audio so if the .dts files you have are 48kHz or 96kHz then burn them as DVD-A and play them using a DVD player. Again use the digital out of the device and connect it to the digital input of a receiver.

If you have a 5.1 soundcard, you should be able to decode the DTS using an application like VLC. (www.videolan.org) . You might have to tell VLC which soundcard to use.
