Sorry if this has been asked before.
We all know the CF mod with the IDE adapter.
With CF prices increasing, would it work for SDHC cards?

Any experiences?

That adapter is for hard drives larger than the iriver itself.

put the wrong link... what about this one? ;D

wrong connector and as yet untested.... but interesting...
-
no reason why it wont work (w/the correct adapter).
-
Hey, if you try it and it works, let us know. I'm running my iHP-x0's with CF cards now. The SDHC's are cheaper, too.

yes that was male connector. Tried to find female compatible adapters but surprisingly I couldnt find any
However, I found this
http://cgi.ebay.com/SDHC-SD-to-Compact-Flash-CF-16GB-Card-Reader-Adapter-7G_W0QQitemZ350200014578QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item51898c26f2&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A15%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50
So technically, we could run this on this adaptor to the other adaptor :)
It should work.... i might give it a try

Any news on this one?

Users on Misticriver have ran SD>CF>1.8" successfully, but I wouldn't recommend it for critical use:

When used with Sound Devices or Microtrack, some issues have been reported:

Heck, an A-DATA 16GB CF card costs $32 nowadays!
I see very little incentive in saving a few dollars if I risk screwing up my recordings, even if it just happens once. YMMV.
And as Petur pointed out, the other adapters posted were 3.5" and 2.5", so neither of them would fit the 1.8" interface of the Iriver (and would be too big to fit into the casing anyway).
