Anyone had any experience with them for taping?

i believe these are primarily used as drum overheads, as i was looking into them for my band, doubt they have any real world taping experience, you could always test them out and try though

Looks ok for taping, although I have to say that from the frequency response plot they look pretty bright...  the description implies that they are NOT neutral:

"Its small size, high SPL handling and frequency shaping
make it ideal for on-stage or in-studio instrument and
percussion micing application"

Always.

Not getting rid of mine just yet, just looking at options.

So far I think it is looking like ADK A-51 TLs or maybe, if I save my ass off, some Neumann 184s or 140s.  Also been looking at AT4041s.

Hello, my name is Ryan and I'm turning into a gear slut.

I may actually go the new route if I get the TLs.

Amazing, I know.  Especially since that would be my first ever piece of new recording gear. :spin:
