so i've been looking online for a piece and was wondering if anyone has any +/- experience they could share about a certain brand/dealer. i've seen the same size piece go for $7-$15 and was wondering if there is any real difference. tia.

Try your local fabric store, like JoAnn's Fabrics. I've found that most big fabric stores have acoustically transparent grill cloth.

I purchased some for a jukebox I was building awhile back it was very nice stuff. Found it at partsexpress.com
