Title: how to put a "hidden track" on a disc....anyone know how its done?
Post by: heyitsmejess on May 31, 2009, 05:28:00 AM
ya know....something like leaving the disc play for 5 min and have a secret song come up, or rewinding from track 1, or something along those lines.

i have nero at my disposal, but would be willing to obtain other software to make it happen.

thanks in advance!

One sort of hack way is to just combine your hidden track onto the last track with some silence between. So you get a real long last track, but only show the "official" track time on your liner notes.

Peace,

One way is a function in some burning programs (Samplitude Pro does it). You put a track 0 on the CD. Only way to get to it is to rewind from track 1. Not all CD players can do this.
Another way might be to create a dual session CD, having both a CD part and a computer part. The computer part could have some extra tracks. I guess this could create problems with some CD players as well.

You can specify pre-gap tracks or hidden tracks via a cue sheet:

Burning tools like Burrrn or EAC can handle cue sheets.
