tested it out the other day, i got a SOLID 9 hrs out of the dap1 beofre i shut it down, thats 3 SOLID phish shows, sound familiar guyz??? ??? ;)
-
personally, i thought it would last six at the max, but it kept truckin, w/ no signs of a low batt light!!!
jef, how long have you pushed it??
-
hmmm.... that's longer than I thought. perhpas the numbers in the archive section are off?
sure would be nice to run the modsbm-1 and dap1 off of the same battery, by my calculations though I would only get about 4 hours so I haven't done it yet.

9 hours recording? or just 9 hours being on? or playback?
-
Per the DAP1 specs:
Internal batt: 7.2v, 1.4 AH
Run-time w/o phantom: 120 min (2 hrs) recording
Run-time w/ phantom: 100 min (1.66 hrs) recording
So...assuming their numbers are correct (which is unlikely as I've never seen a manufacturer NOT inflate their run-time):
w/o phantom
1.4 AH / 2 hrs = .7 A = 700 mA
w/ phantom
1.4 AH / 1.66 hrs = .843 A = 843 mA
Granted this is off internal 7.2v power. I assume external power is roughly the same though. Archival info thread updated to reflect specs, but real life numbers still ??.

I've never run my new 7.2a all the way down on the DA-P1, I've run it on playback for a good 6 hours, and prolly still coulda got another few hours.. but thats playback...
