Hello guys,
I need to mount my CA-14 microphones in a hat. Are there any recommendations for a suitable hat or how to "modifie" one?
-
We don't discuss stealth methods in the open. Folks may PM you. As always, use your imagination.

Is that a cassette deck he's sporting also?? Retro man!
-
^ :yack:
A top loading analog cassette deck with a vocal mic gaffed to a bucket hat. That had to have been a sweet pull. I bet he hid extra blank cassettes in his beard.
-
You shoulda seen him back in the day with the Nagra on his back. :yack:

Rockin' and Reel in'...
Haven't we seen pictures of dude before with that setup?
-
Hmm somewhere I have a shot of a guy with a zoom duct-taped to his forehead from earlier this year.

While this isn't stealth, I am wearing mics wedged over the top of my ears
(http://www.digifishmusic.com/public/images/Freesound_Cascade_Tour.jpg)
...so if your mics are small enough they are invisible even out in the open :)

very nice. too bad the cabels arnt invisible as well ;)

^^^
I have to assume you recorded a bottle opening, pour into glass, fizzle and first gulp from the enjoyer's perspective at the end of the brewery interview/tour as a fitting closure.

I like this one best because you get the cake and you get to eat it ;)

It is (and a real one) because the Cascade Brewery (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?=&q=cascade+brewery&vps=1&jsv=163d&sll=-24.766785,135.703125&sspn=58.851277,79.101563&ie=UTF8&ei=nOg-SqmqGJ3IigOn2sWIBA&cd=1&cid=-42896937,147293100,2032456776776985871&li=lmd) is in Tasmania :)

I finally got Monte Montgomery to allow me to open tape him(because he loves my stealth recordings). I had set up 2 sets of mics on a wall pole to tape the opening band. After Monte said "yes" to my request to tape him, he looked up at the wall pole and quipped: "how you gonna get all that shit in your hat?" I about hit the floor laughing...
