Title: Microphone hat?

I need to mount my CA-14 microphones in a hat. Are there any recommendations for a suitable hat or how to "modifie" one?

A top loading analog cassette deck with a vocal mic gaffed to a bucket hat. That had to have been a sweet pull. I bet he hid extra blank cassettes in his beard.

I had set up 2 sets of mics on a wall pole to tape the opening band. After Monte said "yes" to my request to tape him, he looked up at the wall pole and quipped: "how you gonna get all that shit in your hat?" I about hit the floor laughing...
