Title: Need Input On The Quality Of This Recording
Post by: Cheesecadet on July 02, 2009, 07:14:00 PM
Just curious about some input on the quality of this recording?  The only editing performed was a + 0.5dB boost to the levels...barely anything.  I think it sounds good but would like to get some other feedback if you can spare the time.

It was recorded in a small bar with low ceilings...I was about 12 feet from the stage, seated, center

Thanks in advance!  ;D

Sounds pretty solid to me. What are you hearing that has you asking?

Nothing in particular.  It was the first time I ran this setup and just was curious what others thought.  I know opinions vary...but It is nice to get input from others just to validate what I was thinking.  I have run cards mainly in the past with a few omni shows...but this was the first show with these particular omnis.

Thanks for the feedback!

Would love to get more from others...

Sounds great!

Your DPA's?

First time I ever recorded with my DPA 4060's in similar circumstances I got the best recording I had pulled in 8 years of recording.

Unfortunatley for me I also pulled a few bad ones with them over the next year until I learned better the circumstances in which omni's were a better choice than cards.

Yeah...DPA 4061 > 9100 > h120

That's exactly the setup I used for my first recording with my 4060's that came out so well! Love the ST-9100!
