Title: CF> SDHC adapter for microtrack/sound devices
Post by: jerryfreak on August 23, 2009, 09:15:57 PM
i was thinking about getting an MTII, but im kinda over CF, its a dinosaur of a format when almost every other device i have uses SDHC

came across this article,

http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/21/video-photofast-cr-7000-sdhc-to-cf-adapter-takes-on-5d-mark-ii/#continued

while i cant find that particular one for sale, these are on amazon, i ordered one to play with:

http://www.amazon.com/SD-CF-II-Type-Adapter-Supports/dp/B000YZGCIU/ref=pd_cp_e_0

cant imagine those wouldnt be fast enough for audio recording with the commonly available fast and cheap 16GB sdhc cards

Speed is not an issue. But other users encountered problems, maybe brand dependent?!
YMMV:

wow, that was good for a laugh if nothing else.

'Compact Flash is a parallel Device SD is Serial and the Sound Quality is not the same, Even the speed of the CF Card does make a difference, faster sounds better.'
