yes

All evolution is compatible with all evolution - G1, G2, G3, 2000 series are all compatible with each other.

As the switching bandwidth gets larger as you go on (24MHz with G1, 36MHz with G2, 42MHz with G3 and 75MHz with 2000 series) you need to make sure that the frequency you want is available on both units.

Also - if you use a G1 transmitter you will have to switch off the pilot on the G3, G3, 2000 receiver to hear it.

So - yes - it will work fine.

Just talk to Sennheiser Canada and a G3 will work with G2 if you can't find a G2.

There is no system at all with that frequency range - that just lists the lowest frequency of G2 A band and the highest frequency in G2 E band.

On G3:-
A = 516 - 558 MHz
G = 566 - 608 MHz
B = 626 - 668 MHz
C = 734 - 776 MHz
D = 780 - 822 MHz
E = 823 - 865 MHz

G2 will be similar but with a slightly smaller window for each section.

i'd stay out of the 700MHz range and above.
