After spening a lot of time looking for a post (that I know i read recently) with approximate file sizes based on bit depth and sample rate, I broke down and went to the google.
That led me to this very handy little calculator:

Yes, that's it. After reading so many pages as I anticipated picking up my FR2LE I couldn't backtrack to that post.
I think that it should be in the archive area.
