Title: Mic Tips, OH?

Could someone give me some input on advantages and disadvantages of OH mic?  I have seen a few threads on them, but pictures or links to articles would help me most I think.  Thanks guys in advance.

Mic placement depends a lot on the room and what is to be recorded.  To get an answer you may have to supply some more parameters than you have.  Just an idea.

OH = overhead?  You mean like drum overheads?
