Title: Olympus LS-10 Zoom Mic and mono recordings

I read that LS-10 can use the "zoom" setting of the mic only with some recording settings, but I found that my LS-10 with fw 1.10 can use the zoom setting in every recording mode. Using zoom the meters show the same levels as the recording would be mono. Is this due to the very high mic angle or is a true mono recoridng?
