Title: Sound Forge Crackles On Playback
Post by: ijwthstd on October 19, 2009, 10:56:23 PM
Whenever playing audio files in Sound Forge, there are intermittant crackles/audio artifacts, never in the same spot, never saved when playing back with another program, happens most right after starting playback but can occur at random points throughout.

This is a new computer I got toward the end of September, was never a problem previously. I have dozens of unprocessed new recordings, and this is making me violently angry.

Any thoughts on what it might be? I updated sound card drivers which was all I could think of.

Try adjusting the soundcard's latency.

Thanks a lot! I actually found a few other suggestions while searching on how to do this and that reduced the instances a lot, only heard about 3 pops since and I am on wireless headphones right now too which throws stuff in there from time to time. Will do that next, just not home too much.
