Is anyone else having a problem installing flac on Windows 7? If so, is there a solution? Thanks.

Are you talking about FLAC Frontend? Why not just use Trader's Little Helper instead? It works perfectly in Windows 7 for me (so far, anyhow :))

2nd recommendation for Trader's Little Helper. I was having problems with FLAC Frontend, too, but in Vista. It installed and would load just fine, but was a little buggy during conversions and file testing. After trying for too long to get it to work properly, I uninstalled it, installed TLH and haven't had a hiccup since. Rock solid. ;D

I am using TLH with windows 7 with no problems at all..... VLC plays back flac on win. 7 just fine too...

I believe I did, I had to register a dll if I recall correctly.
once I did that it works like it always has for me.
Now .shn is a whole different story.. but it gives me a good reason
to stay on top of my converting..

I use dbPowerAmp Music Converter:

It's free for various codecs. You should pay only for the MP3 codec...

Another fluff for BDPowerAmp. Great tool and can convert direct from SHN to FLAC.

MediaCoder will also do the job.
