thank god it's frequency response goes to 20khz. That should reproduce the silky smooth highs on my 64kbps mp3s

"the WOS is exceptionally for people who believe that music should be listened to loudly."

...and by 'loudly' they mean compressed to shit and missing frequency content

... and with none of those nasty spatial queues, transients, dynamics, that despicable low noise floor.
I, too like "listening" to the low files size number.
Anyone got $4,500.00 to lend me to get this thing?     ;D   :P

i bet its impressive to sit in front of.  thats a lot of displacement, which makes music reproduction exciting, IMO.  even mp3s.

for the record, you can import your cds as Apple Lossless and enjoy your music in its full glory via your ipod. I'd imagine anyone spending $5k on a speaker set for their ipod is doing just that.

I wonder what kind of stereo separation this thing has?

^this is true, I found out the hard way years back (like I imagine many have) when I first bought a mac and began storing my music on iTunes. BUT the fact is, the default import setting (which most all American consumers use) is AAC and when mac advertises the thousands upon thousands of songs capacity the ipod is capable of, theyre speaking in terms of MP3s.

I just think these 'ipod docks' and what not are retarded. there's so many third party companies creating these ipod accessories and for the most part, many of them seem verrrry cheap in quality. get a great set of speakers for a small fraction of this price and get an 1/8 mini to RCA or something that'll have more flexibility for sources than just your ipod.
