Title: Best way for D-5 to DA-20?
Post by: drewloo on January 29, 2004, 06:21:03 AM
OK, I'm trying to figure the best way to go from a Foxtex D5 to a Tascam DA-20 digitally, of course.  I guess I'm gonna need a 110 ohm->75 ohm adapter (I'm probably gonna get the Canare BCJ-XJ-TRA) and then a 75 ohm cable w/ an XLR on one end and a coax connector on the other end.  Am I correct so far?

I'm thinking of getting something like a 3-foot 75 ohm coax cable and then cut one end off and solder it to a neutrik XLR connector.  Will that work?  Am I missing something or does anyone have any other suggestions?  ???

thanks,
Drew

what has worked for me is just your run of the mill xlr>rca cable.  no adapers, no transformers.
