Title: opening files from 744 in cool edit pro
Post by: skaggs on January 19, 2010, 07:21:11 PM
I ran a flashcard in a 744 to get the sounboard portion, and i cannot figure out how to open it as a two track wave file in cool edit pro.  anyone know?  i got both the aud and sbd files, but only want to edit the sbd files, as i have my source for the aud, and i do not really care about a matrix.

thanks

Check the sound devices home page. There is a utility program free for download that does a lot of various conversions of files.

File>open will open right or left not as a stereo pair.  i think it is a multiple track feature, and i don't know the command.  i am still working on this computer program, and have an old one.  i should probably upgrade, but i'd have to figure that out too.  thanks

it's been years since I used CEP, so I've gotta figure out what's going on.

Do you get 4 tracks when the wav opens or does it choke and die?

skaggs, you have to make it a stereo track before you can do anything.  i gave you 4 mono tracks.  not sure how to do that in CEP.  it's pretty easy in audicity.

SD's Wave Agent will glue the tracks together to make stereo, too.  It's free for the D/L.
