I am looking for a 20 gb model but can't find any new ones. I guess they don't make them anymore. So I was wondering how the quality on the refurbished ones from Creative is. They sure are a lot cheaper than getting a 40 gb model...but you get what you pay for...so just wondering. Thanks.

I don't know where you are located, but I just bought a brand new JB3 20 gb model from CompUsa for $250.
-
a number of people have been buying them from nomad on ebay and have said they were all good.

I've had zero problems with my Creative-direct refurb off EBay. Same as new, IME.

Cool deal. Now I just have to wait for them to put another one up. Can't beat $179 Buy It Now but for some reason people still try to bid for it and it always drives the price higher.
karl: There are no CompUSA's in the area and there website did not have the JB3. Thanks for the help though.

I just got my refurbed JB3 a couple of days ago. $179 on ebay. I went over the thing very carefully and it looked absolutely new. No scratches anywhere. Perfect condition.

mine is in the mail from creative. i am now a jb3 teammate too. it will be nice to test this unit alongside the d8 (gotta love the dual output on the old ad1000 - fingers crossed that it last another couple of years before dying!)
i am of course interested in upgrading the HD, but i'll probably just get comfortable with the unit first, then upgrade. fingers crossed.
