Need something basic for my den, and love the 25-30 year old Yamaha I bought used ten years ago-still kicking. There happens to be a used audio store in Phoenix, thought maybe the vintage freaks on this forum might be familiar with this gear and a ball park good retail price/compatibility? Thanks, Marc.
Marantz 2226 Receiver
Altec M500 Pro Monitors
Cerwin Vega CLS 215 speakers
The room is small, can't be more than 200 sf., square room, 9.5 feet ceiling.
thanks all. ;D

The 2226 is a nice little receiver. 26W/channel, phono, aux, tuner with de-emphasis, hi filter etc.. Marantz made both the 2226 and 2226b, and despite the "b" identifier, they've both got silver faces. I think the 2226b has a slightly better THD rating.
I paid $9.99 for my 2226 at a Salvation Army just last week, and set it up as a 2nd system in a 240 sq.ft room dedicated to FM and cassette (for now. Phono comes next). I find mine to be warm, pleasant, and plenty loud.
You may get more info over at audio karma, vinyl engine, or classic-audio.com...
