Title: Reduce wind noise?
Post by: trustthex on April 25, 2010, 11:46:28 AM
Ok, so I'm at the third day of a fest, and the winds have picked up... What is my best option (no dead rats):

Drape a lightweight towel over the mics?
Use the low cut filter on my R09?
Deal with it in post?

Thanks!!!

I could probably get someone to bring some extra socks... Other than that, see above, I'm kinda in MacGyver mode.

Use omni mics.

Put a swatch of (acoustically transparent) speaker fabric over your mics before putting your windscreens on.  McGyver says pantyhose?
