the 4.7k mod.  I have head about this.  searched the forum but can't find exactly what this does.  any info would be great.  If i missed the thread that talks about this let me know.  thanks.

Lowers the sensitivity of the mic so when taping a show with high SPL's, there won't be an issue with distortion.  Chris Church is the creator of the mod.

Some mics benefit from this mod and others do not need it.
