I have one of these.
http://www.toshiba-europe.com/bv/computers/products/notebooks/portege3480/product.htm
Old I know. Anyone know a USB wifi adapter that might work for it? The USB on it is USB 1. Other than that it has PMCIA card slots. I would like to be able to check email while I'm in Chicago next week, Thanks for any recommendations.
Maybe I'd be better off hitting up Fry's and giving them my laptop specs?
EDIT: The OS is XP

A PCMCIA 802.11x card should do the trick. If I knew where my old ones were I'd offer them up to you. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Micradigital-F5D7010-802-11g-Wireless-CardBus/dp/B000H1QYRK (http://www.amazon.com/Micradigital-F5D7010-802-11g-Wireless-CardBus/dp/B000H1QYRK) ... or this http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-WPC54GS-Wireless-G-Notebook-SpeedBooster/dp/B0001D3JXG/ref=pd_cp_e_1 (http://www.amazon.com/Cisco-Linksys-WPC54GS-Wireless-G-Notebook-SpeedBooster/dp/B0001D3JXG/ref=pd_cp_e_1) which coincidentally is the actual model of my old ones.

It does support CardBus on the PCMCIA so you have alot of options
Something like this

or
http://cgi.ebay.com/Dlink-DWL-G650-EXtreme-G-802-11g-wireless-cardbus-PCMCI-/280467536630
You could also get a CardBus USB 2.0 card can go that route as well
