Title: Tascam DR-07 SD-HD CARD [Newbie]
Post by: jnl on May 25, 2010, 02:53:01 PM
Hey

I used to use my Tascam DR-07 with a 2GB SD, but i just bought a 16 GB SD-HD CARD.

I formatted it on the recorder and everything looks to work fine, but in the "Rec Setting" menu the "Size" is still on 2GB and i cannot change it to 16GB.

Is this normal? It will save up to 16GB anyway?

Sorry for the newbieness once again.

File size is limited to 2gb. This is a FAT32 limitation, not a recorder limitation. However, when the 2gb limit is reached, a new file is seamlessly started and you can put the two files together when you track your recording. Have fun with the recorder!

One of my only gripes about my dr-07 is that you can't swith it to another setting.  I like know just how much space is left on the card.

Click "Menu", then click "Information", scroll to the bottom.

What dallman said.  2gb is the limit for file size, not card size.  The DR07 should be good up to a 32GB card.
