This was announced back in January at NAMM, but hasn't got any mention here yet.
Nothing we haven't seen before, 16-bit, the mic-in is mono only(?!) and this unit doesn't even have a card slot. Put this next to a similar sized recorder like DR-08, and the choice is simple.
Street price in Europe seems to be 119 EUR. Not out in the US yet, but MSRP is $149.
Anyway, some specs just for the record...
Taken from http://www.esi-audio.com/products/rekordm/
* 4 GB of internal memory
* integrated stereo microphone
* external 1/8" input for dynamic microphone (mono)
* external 1/8" stereo line input
* recording bitrate: 16 bit / recording samplerate: 44.1kHz
* recording time: up to 6.15h (WAV/PCM)
* battery lifetime: about 12h when recording
* dimensions: 34mm x 87mm x 14mm
* weight: ca. 38g

I'd be interest in hearing what owners have to say about it, but I certainly wouldn't want to be the first one on this board to try it when the already proven Tascam DR-07 can be gotten for around the same price. i bought a Zoom H2 before I read reviews by users and I will never make that mistake again.

I wouldn't count on too many tapers buying this because of what sanjay said: the input is mono and it only does 16 bit.
this would appeal to classroom and courtroom lectures.

I didn't read that. Then it's of no use to serious tapers at all. Also price now seems really high since its mono.
