Hey,

Has anyone run the Schoeps B-5D windscreens with teh 4V's?? I know Schoeps says that the hollow Schoeps B-5D is not designed for any lateral pickup, but
wanted to get some of your opinions.

I read this post http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=133351.0 (http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=133351.0), but really wanted to know if anyone has ever really tried the B5D with the 4V?

get the w5d. just need to mod the inside of it alittle bit so the basket does not obstruct the cap pick-up. used them for years w/ great results. ed

Two ways to find out: ask Jerry at Posthorn or nose around the Schoeps site to see what they use for a wondscreen for this mic.

Posthorn page clearly says no B5D for any side address, but i think that is because of the housing... I am gonna try it with a bit of a mod...
