Title: Tool to combine two 24bit wave files

I can not get shntools to combine two 24bit wave files ? Any other simple tools available ?

addawav and wav joiner are two small, simple tools for joining wavs. however, addawav will process 24-bit files while wav joiner only handles 16-bit.

If you aren't afraid to work with dos then SoX is probably one of the best if not the best all around freeware sound editor when it comes to joining/downsampling/changing bitdepth etc of wav files.
