Hey Now - Looking seriously at purchasing a pair of KM-140's or KM-150's but would like to hear what they sound like through a V3 since that is what I currently run.
I am thinking about the hyper Neumanns since I will be using them mostly in small night clubs and bars and want to cut out some of the crowd noise. Wondering what they would sound like through a V3. Have hear nothing but good things about this combo. I have heard some recordings made with 140's but not through a V3. I do like the warmer sound .... is there anyone out there willing to spin me a show or two with that combo?? I can offer some fresh LeftoverSalmon I recorded at the Crystal Ballroom in Portland this weekend with my Nak700's > V3 (sounds pretty good).
Thanks for any help!!
Peace,
LoSammy

Kimock 3-28-03, up on archive.org. 140(ORTF)>V3 on stage, this one is wicked!!
I ran 140 (ORTF)>V3 at Bonnaroo 2003, my Funky Meters tape is up on the wi-jams server, check for login info in the kickdown section.
FWIW I am not a big fan of the 150's, too bright sounding for me, just my personal taste. I like the 40's much more than the 50's. Maybe the 50's would sound good in a bassy club though, I have only heard them run from the tapers section in big arena shows.
Take care,
Ben
