Title: How to remove grid from DPA 4061's ?

Can't seem to remove these.Any tips? And i do not have the microdot connector tool.

It can definitely be a bit tricky to get the grids off...

Taking care not to hold the mic by the cable, try to secure it with your fingers below the edge where the grid meets the mic body, then twist gently as you pull.

one of mine fell off and I had to replace them, they seemed to be a pressure connection only, so 2 sets of mini pliers, one on the mic body one on the grid should separate them, as the one above said, don't pull on the cords!

Yep, be careful ... for mine, I just use my fingers. 

Related question: I got my 4061's used, and the seller oddly, had one longer grid and one short grid included with them.  Does anybody want the longer grid in trade for another short grid?

or, does anyone need to buy grids who could split an order with me? These things are expensive!

Got them off,definetly not easy at all.If anyone is in need of the 2 long grids(high boost)i will part with mine.WOW just checked these cost $83 bucks for 5 of them.Thats absurd.Must cost about 10 cents to make those.
