Title: Mod'ing Mics from Battery to Preamp Power
Post by: Hypnocracy on August 01, 2010, 10:47:46 AM
I've wanted a set of Omni Caps for my AT853's for some time...Haven't found a set yet....sooo....I'm looking at a set of cheapo Omni Lav Mic's I've had for years and won't miss if fry them...

RS 330-3003 Omni Lav is the model....I used these years ago on a old D8 Dat...in Bluegrass settings they were surprisingly not bad...as long as the sound didn't get loud...which resulted in loading up...this I attributed to the 1.5v 357a alkaline button-cell battery powering this unit...Now 10 years down the road I have the Church 9100 3.3 Pre Three Wire...it has 8+ volts of Mic Power...

How Do I get these two together? I have no Schematics and can't find any...I have a couple of left over TA3F Mini XLR connectors...and not much to loose.
