Have the most current firmware. Preroll is set to like 10 seconds but I get nothing. Any ideas?
-
Perhaps it is your time code mode? From page 37 v2.66 manual:
"Record buffering is disabled when the time code mode is set to Record Run, External Time Code
Auto Record, and External Time Code Continuous Auto Record. This prevents possible overlapping
time code numbers between adjacent files."

That was it. My buddy Kirk changed it when he ran my deck awhile back and I could never figure out where the preroll went. So I upgraded to 2.66 and figured it would reappear. Thanks dude!

Wow, that was a long shot. I figured the chance of anybody here using time code was pretty slim, so I felt kinda silly even suggesting it. Glad it worked out for you.

Yep that was me ;D Sorry Mark, didn't realize it. Hey while we are at it SD techs said you can sync the deck via spdif in but I could not get it to happen anybody know how or do I need to talk to the techs again before trying that?

Isn't it set the feed a digital signal, but set the inputs 1&2 to analog explicitly? I can't remember if you have to power cycle it or if you can connect it after it's started using the primary clock in pre-roll.
