www.oqo.com
Just found out about this tonight, smaller than a laptop but larger than a pda
Current specs are on the site but a 20gb hd, 1GHz processor, Firewire, USB 1.1
Runs XP or Linux, your choice on order.
According the the sales guy it will come with a 30GB HD, P4 1.5 Centrino and USB 2.0 upgrades in the next model. They look pretty cool and have a battery life of over 12 hours.
They wouldn't give me a price just yet since they aren't going to be out until the fall/winter of 2004. He hinted it would be less than $1800, but that is all he would say.
Could be a cool product to use with firewire based preamps

its vaporware until it hits the shelves... could be nice but really whats better about it over any of the sub-notebooks on the market now (Sony C1x series, Fujitsu Lifebooks)?

Didn't we discuss this thing like 8 months ago? Or more?
10 bucks on it never coming out. ;)

what's better? it's a fully capable computer the size of a pda...pda's are limited in functionality and storage is an issue...but not with a 20gb drive. plus...it's a whole fucking computer.
with wireless internet. imagine the porn you could post to tln while recording a show.
