Title: Could Bass roll off cause harsh mids?

Is it possible for a bass roll off battery box to cause harsh mids or affect the mids at all?

It should not affect the midrange frequencies, but it will make the midrange appear more prominent in the recording.

Thats what i thought.Been noticing some nasty mids on my latest recordings.
