Title: Help editing out some wind noise

I taped john mayer last night in dallas and it sounds really good when they are playing, However when they are not the wind noise is pretty bad.

The venue decided to install 12-14 huge turbo prop propellers (aka big ass fans) creating a wind tunnel throughout the shed.

Ive got soundbooth cs4 and sound studio. (and can acquire whatever other programs are recommended with the exception of pro tools)

So... does anyone know of any filters on these programs that will reduce some of that wind noise??

Just a thought but since wind noise is usually eliminated by rolling off the bottom end you could try setting up a high pass filter and adjust the rolloff untill you eliminate the rumble without affecting the music too much.  If that creates a problem with the music sound quality you could try a sidechain to only trigger the rolloff when the level of the music drops.

Getting rid of wind is very difficult.

Also, it risks damaging speakers because there is a lot of low frequency energy you cannot hear, but which is sent to the woofers.. You'll see them moving.
