 Power Requirements: 48V Phantom Power

You will most deff need phantom power (UA-5 etc..)

Just noticed you are new to the forums. Welcome, here are a few links to some devices that could work for you..

http://www.naiant.com/naiant/microphoneamplifiers.html (Littlebox, made by one of our very own here on the forum - I myself am looking into one of these guys in the very near future).

http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=139569.0 (Edirol UA-5 - just a link to one available here in the yard sale as they are no longer in production)

http://item.ebay.com/220615479970 (ART Phantom II - I myself have never used one of these buy I guess they work alright on a budget)

IMO, you'd be better off getting the littlebox instead of a UA-5 for your application. You can't take advantage of the UA-5's digi-out with an M10, so you might as well go with the littlebox which is more compact & does not require an eternal battery. I love my littlebox.

Even if you only record loud stuff, I prefer a preamp to a box that provides the phantom power, but you might be OK recording loud stuff with an ART phantom II. Having a pre certainly gives you a lot more flexibility though.

By the way your M10 provides plug in power and does not provide phantom power.
