I'd like to record to a firewire drive instead of my system drive but can't find anything in preferences or elsewhere to adjust it. I also looked on the Audiofile Engineering forum and online manual but came up empty.
Thanks

File > Save As > Select your Firewire Drive > Then Select Desired Folder on Firewire Drive

Well, I would have thought that would work too but when I record it puts it into an untitled file and doesn't let me save it as anything until after it's recorded. While it's recording it's putting it somewhere but since my Macbook Pro doesn't have a drive access light I can't see it writing to it. I don't see any activity on my firewire drive so it must be going to my system drive?

You could send a Request message in to their Help Desk. I've found they are very good at getting back with answers to specific questions. From the program use: Wave Editor > Support > Help Desk [Tab]
Also, here is a link to their forums, you may find an answer there.

I posted at the Mac OS X forum (Cool Forum!) that you linked and got a quick reply from Matthew Foust. Unfortunately he said that currently Wave Editor isn't able to save to a selected drive while recording. It's a cool program otherwise but this makes it a no go for location recording for me. He did say that it's an often requested feature and a high priority on their update list. Too bad...

Hmm, v1.5 is in Beta, wonder if that could do it but it seems he would have made mention.
