Hi there,
I've got a Sony PCM M10 and the Church CAFS Mics. Unfortunately I have no Battery-Box available at the moment.
Until now I only recorded my own singing/guitar playing, etc. and I had no problem with the Auto-Mode on the recording level.
Now I want to tape a show (Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Drums), that's kinda singer/songwriterish, but amplified and thus a bit louder (no Hard-Rock over the top volume show ;) )
Any recommendations on what to start with the levels? I guess the "auto" mode is not recommended for concert taping. So what would you suggest, what are your experiences?
Cheers,
Florian

I don't think the M10 can properly power the CAFS in regards to an amplified show. I'd get a battery box if at all possible.
In regards to levels, start low and at 24 bit and work your way up to -12dB to -6dB peak. Boost the levels in post as needed.

Hi Belexes,
thanks for the answer. I had a battery box but had problems with it, so I have to tape this show without one (or at least try to). :-[
