My new computer (ASUS desktop ... not sure of the model number) gives me an error message when I try to burn a show... it says the machine is not capable of burning disc-at-once. I'm using CDburnerXP, which never gave me any problems before now (my last machine was also an ASUS... no issues on that one). Does anyone know what I can do here? Should I try a different program... Nero, etc? The stock CD Burning program on the computer (ULeadBurnNow) also won't allow me to do disc-at-once. Could it be something as simple as a setting I can turn off/on?
Any help is appreciated!

It might be a characteristic of whatever burner was factory-installed. I find it hard to believe that anyone would be shipping drives incapable of DAO, but maybe that happens now and then. What type of burner did the system come with?

I would try a different program. It's been a long time since I burned a music CD, but I recall the program has to be updated with how to burn with a new model drive. Maybe your drive is newer than the version of the program you are using.
I've heard good things about Burrrn as a CD burning program. I'm pretty sure it's free.

Try upgrading the drive firmware, and also the driver. It's possible the drive just isn't going into the necessary mode. Also, go into the system devices section and check the properties of the drive. What model is it, is it a known issue?

no need to convert to wave either. just drop the flacs in and go. also reads and writes cd text if the flacs are tagged.
