Title: Audix clips
Post by: jbell on December 06, 2010, 07:25:32 AM
Do the Audix D clips and Micro clips hold the same size mics?  Thanks

Nope.

The Audix Micro is 12mm.

The Audix D Clip is for 19-23mm mics.

edit - The D's will work for the Naks, if that's what you're wondering.

I'm 99% certain that you could use the Micro clips to hold the mini XLR connector for the Franken Naks.

Intriguing.

I can think of a couple of groups of people who might be interested in seeing pics of that in action.

I just realized there is more than one Micro clip. The SMT Micro would be the one I'm referring to.

Thanks for the clarification. I use mini-xlrs and the MBHOs do also. I know in the past, finding clips for them has been an adventure. It's nice to have options. On that note, since I have a kwonbar-style setup with a shockmount. Using these would mean I have shockmounts on top of my shockmount, and that means I could tape some ultra-funk.  ;D

The lack of an opening to the side is troublesome for me, but I probably not for some others; I leave my caps attached to the cables.
