OK, so I am going to make a few cables:
4 - 5' XLRF - 1/4" for MP-2 out to mixer and for boards with XLR outs
4 - 5' RCA - 1/4" for mixer out to mod SBM-1 and for boards with XLR outs
2 - stereo RCA interconnects
I am going to be using Canare L-4E6S for all of these cables. My question is I can identify the switchcraft/neutrik connectors I need for the XLR and RCA connections, but the 1/4" is where I get confused....and this is likely a dumb question, but wouldn't I buy a mono 1/4" connector, since each of these cables are only going to carrying 1 channel (Left or Right)? Very likely I am missing something here...so feel free to call me a moron ;D, then answer my question
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the RCA connectors other than the standard switchcraft, let me know as well.
Thanks.
Nick

My intention would be to be balanced for the 1/4" to XLR. According to the diagrams I have seen, it is not possible to have a balanced cable for 1/4" to RCA...right?

RCA won't be balanced.
Your 1/4" connector should be a TRS type (Tip, Ring, Sleeve, and would look like a stereo connector)
OK, you answered my question, so I would need the 3 Cond. switchcraft 1/4" vs. the 2 Cond.
Should I be looking at any other rca or 1/4 connectors other than switchcraft?
Thanks for the help btw, +T
