Title: Macbook Optical Best Way To Record Through
Post by: H₂O on December 23, 2010, 08:05:18 AM
What is the easiest and best way to get a bit perfect transfer through the optical in on a Macbook.  I need to do a few DAT xfers and need them to be bit perfect.

I tried Audacity but it seems to always Sample Rate convert (i.e. I can't find a way to turn off the sample rate converter).

Any other free software?

Sound Studio has a free, uncrippled trial period.

Up to 24/48, yes.  If you go 96, no.  For DAT transfers, you're golden, except for LP/32hz DATs, as the Intel-based Macs will not do those bit perfect (PPC will).
