Title: Stand stability on MSG OTS risers
Post by: padelimike on December 26, 2010, 11:08:16 AM
I've posted it before, but I just want to make sure as many people know this as possible:

A 50-CDR spindle with cover is the right height to support the front leg of your stand, when placed on the step in front of you.
I carry my mic mount clips in one - crushproof security.
I also carry a couple of those rubber nonslip dashboard pads, to go underneath it.

I'm going to bump this thread annually.
Just in case any tapers plan to be in Section 2 Risers. (only 2 mic stands 12/31/11)
I'm guessing most everyone will be in floor west, making the recordings I'll be downloading and listening to.
