Title: No fun at NAMM/CES this time?
Post by: sunjan on January 09, 2011, 04:21:44 PM
I've been googling non-stop this weekend to see if anything taper-related was launched at the big trade fairs this time.
So far, I came up with absolutely nothing worth mentioning!   :(
A few rackmount/AC powered sound cards, that's it.
No new field recorders, portable preamps, or suitable mics.

Did I miss something, or are we "between product cycles" for all common manufacturers?

In this economy, I wouldn't be in too much of a rush unless it was a budget item.

I used a lot of the info from previous years when researching, and it looked like a low priority on the "list of things namm to report."
I'd guess by the time the show ends on Sunday we'll know if any of the companies decided to step up to our needs this year.
