Someone asked how an R-44 compared in size to a PMD-661 so I figured I would take some comparison photos.

I count 18 channels.  Do you have that many AKG's?

not having owned an R44... I was surprised how much smaller it is compared to the 680

Yeah, me too. I had never seen the two stacked like that.

The 661 looks nice and small too.  Does it have mic "trim" controls as well?  That is one feature I really like about my Fostex FR-2LE.
